There's a version of motherhood that shows up in ads. She's serene. Her house smells like something baked from scratch. She woke up first and already went on a walk. She doesn't have yesterday's dry shampoo in her hair or a half-eaten granola bar in her coat pocket. She isn't texting someone while also mediating a snack dispute while also trying to remember if she took her vitamins.

Mark Your Motherhood started because we were tired of the curated version. The one that looks beautiful and costs everyone something. We wanted to see the real thing — the 6am chaos, the overstimulated silence, the laugh that comes out of nowhere right in the middle of a hard day. We wanted to see you.

Not the performance. The person underneath it.

And here's the thing about that person — she was a kid once. She ran barefoot. She didn't apologize for taking up space. She believed in magic and also in her own opinions, loudly, simultaneously. She existed before anyone needed anything from her.

She's still in there.

That's why we built Inner Child.

Motherhood is one of the great identity shifts. One day you are one person; then you are also someone's whole world, and the math of who you are changes permanently.
